Paap is set on the backdrop of the favorite festival of Bengalis, Durga Puja. In the Boikuntho house, all the family members have gathered to enjoy the 200-year-old Durga Puja.

Meanwhile, a stunning woman Parbani(Paro) returns to the family. No one in the family seems pleased with this unwanted guest. Parbani had a mysterious past life and have some dreaded secrets about the family.

Tragedy struck the family when two dead bodies are discovered in the house, and the puja house becomes a crime scene.

What’s the reason for Parbani’s return to the Choudhury household during Durga Puja? Why is the family not accepting her? What secrets are they hiding? Or a Sin is linked to these deaths? The literal meaning of the Bengali or Hindi word Paap is Sin. These answers will flow the story.

The concept of the show is interesting, and it has a lot of mysteries. Suspense and thrill were less in the 1st three episodes. The story and suspense unfold gradually.

The two songs introduced in the five episodes do not fit in the story and waste time.

The plot of the story is good but what it lacks is a good ending. The show is incomplete, with only five episodes. The series ends abruptly. But, the story so far is framed very well. To unveil the mysteries, one has to wait for next season.
